Results will be communicated to you within 24 to 48 hours after your visit. If you do a rapid STD SWAB test, your results will be ready in 30 minutes after testing.
Our consulting doctors will contact you if you test positive for any STDs and will write you a prescription if you do not have insurance coverage. In certain cases, a consulting physician may recommend treatment or arrange for a prescription to be issued to your local pharmacy, depending on the STD for which you tested positive.
If you are just minimally sexually active, we suggest that you get your sexually transmitted disease (STD) checked at least twice per year. If you have a high level of sexual activity, have several partners, or have tested positive for one or more STDs in the past, more regular testing is highly suggested for you. Chlamydia and Gonorrhea STD testing should be done at least once a year. Those who have several relationships or who are anonymous should be examined on a more regular basis (e.g., every 3 to 6 months).
No test can be guaranteed to be 100 percent accurate. 99% of the time, our STD testing results accurately detect that an infected individual has a sexually transmitted infection.
Within 5 to 2 weeks of exposure, the majority of STD testing procedures may identify the presence of an infection. An examination 2 weeks after exposure may be recommended if the results of the first test are negative, especially if the patient is experiencing symptoms.
